According to a report by Energy Saving Trust, the average home uses nearly 350 litres of water every day. This presents huge potential for saving water by implementing small but simple changes.

A dripping tap can waste up to 15 litres of water per day – a whopping 5,500 litres per year! – while a leaky toilet (where water runs from the cistern into the pan) can also waste a huge amount of water unnecessarily. Only using your washing machine for full loads is a really simple way to save water by reducing the amount you run your machine over time. On top of this, by running your washing machine at 30°C you could save around £13 per year on your energy bill, according to Energy Saving Trust.

Get your boiler serviced yearly

Making sure your boiler is running as efficiently as possible is a simple way to reduce water wastage and lower your energy bills. We recommend that your boiler is serviced once a year. A service will check the condition of your boiler, its standard of performance, and identify any signs of wear and tear.
