Should you have a problem with your central heating system, there’s no need to worry; at Greenstar we can offer a selection of repair services for your system, including…

  • Valve repair

  • Thermostat repair
  • Thermostat replacement
  • Radiator repairs
  • Radiator replacement
  • Pumps

Maintenance is particularly important for your boiler and heating system, and we recommend carrying out an annual boiler service to avoid unpleasant and potentially expensive break-downs in the cold winter weather. Prevention is definitely better – and cheaper – than cure when it comes to central heating and hot water systems.

Our heating engineers are Gas Safe Registered, and fully qualified to repair and maintain all sorts of heating systems from hot water cylinders and underfloor heating to installing new boilers.

If there is a fault in your central heating system it could be increasing your heating bill, and might even be dangerous and may be putting you at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Radiators should heat up evenly with no cold patches, and should certainly not be leaking. These are indications of a problem with your heating system which should be investigated as soon as possible. Other signs of problems with the boiler and heating system are noises in the boiler itself or in the pipes, which could indicate low water pressure or pump failure.

Gas safety in your home

To make sure that your home is gas safe you should have your appliances checked annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer. One crucial part of getting your appliances checked is making sure that there are no gas leaks. If there was a gas leak in your home although it is generally safe to stay in the home, when natural gas does not burn up completely because of faulty installation or lack of ventilation, it emits a by-product of carbon monoxide. The more carbon monoxide present in the air, the less oxygen you can inhale, potentially killing you. Stay aware of the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning – headaches, dizziness, nausea, breathlessness, collapse and loss of consciousness.

We fit carbon monoxide detectors – why not call us today on 01202 355344 and get yours installed and make sure your house is Gas Safe!

By law your landlord must arrange for a Gas Safe registered engineer to carry out a gas safety check every 12 months. He should provide you with a copy of the landlord gas safety record before you move in and within 28 days of the annual check taking place. He should maintain the gas appliances, pipework and flues in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

We carry out landlord safety checks – call us today on 01202 355344 or email us at info@greenstarservices.co.uk to book yours in today!
